I am Pro-Choice and even I don't think insurance, public or not, should cover abortion. ATThey should be covered.You may disagree with the comparison, but regardless of the moral and practical arguments, at the end of the day it's still a hell of a lot easier to pass a health care bill without covering abortions, and the abortions aren't expensive enough to impact a typical person. Local anti-abortion activists are going to get involved to help the teen who alleges a Flint doctor forced her to have an abortion after she changed her mind about the procedure.
